Ashley understands personally the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and their families. A Birmingham native, she attended public K-12 schools and pursued higher education. Ashley fought for her rights to learn and socialize in the least restrictive environments. She has held federal and state government agencies accountable to the laws protecting individuals with disabilities. Ashley advocates equal opportunity and inclusion for every individual regardless of their abilities.
Ashley graduated from Birmingham-Southern College as a Donald C. Harrison Honors Scholar and with a Distinction in Leadership Studies. Ashley earned her law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where she was honored with the Dean’s Award for Commitment to Public Service & Public Interest Law. She is an active member of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham and the Junior League of Birmingham.
